GUARANTEE

Piney Creek Labradors offers you, the buyer, a one-year health guarantee against any congenital defects and a 26-month guarantee on hips. To qualify for this guarantee, you will be required to follow the procedure listed below:
To be covered for health guarantee:
  • You will be required to have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 working days of sale. You must inform your veterinarian to look for congenital defects as well as exam the overall health of your puppy. You will be required to return a letter from your veterinarian on company letterhead stating the veterinarian’s findings within 14 days of purchase. Failure to have your puppy checked within 3 working days and returning a letter from your veterinarian within 14 days of purchase will make hip guarantee null and void. Health guarantee is null and void after the puppy with its new owners for over 3 working days, after this time we cannot control the puppy’s environment.
  • If your vet finds a serious health problem (within the specified time frame), you must contact us immediately and provide a written description of the health problem from your vet. All associated costs, including vet fees and transportation, are your responsibility.
  • If your vet does find a serious health problem within 3 working days, you may return the puppy with AKC papers and receive a replacement puppy. If a replacement puppy is not available, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
To be covered by our 26 month Hip Guarantee:
  • The puppy / dog must be owned by the original buyer.
  • You must have returned a letter from your veterinarian within the 14 days of purchase.
  • The puppy / dog must have not sired or whelped any puppies.
  • The puppy / dog is not overweight, over exercised, nor has done an excessive amount of jumping up and down, this can cause bone spurs and the dog will not be able to be evaluated by OFA for certification.
  • The puppy / dog has been fed a high quality, meat-based protein, balanced dry dog food.
  • The puppy / dog must include Piney Creek ('s) prefix in his / her registered name.
  • The dog must not be over 26 months in age.
  • Hip evaluation must come from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and must show that the hips are moderate or severely dysplastic. All costs for the evaluation and treatment are the responsibility of you, the buyer.
Should your pet be deemed moderate to severely dysplastic, you, the buyer, have several options:
  • You may return your dog to Piney Creek Labradors with AKC papers and sign ownership back to Piney Creek Labradors and receive a full refund of your purchase price.
  • You may return your dog back to Piney Creek Labradors with AKC papers and sign ownership back to us and receive a replacement puppy of your choice.
  • You may choose to keep your dog and we will refund half of the purchase price to you and require you to spay / neuter your dog.
